20 Journal Prompts for Year-End Self-Reflection

Home » Posts » 20 Journal Prompts for Year-End Self-Reflection

Can you believe it? The year is finally ending. There’s no denying that this year was so overwhelming and stressful.

It was full of worries, losses, and pain that tested every ounce of strength in us — the strength that we didn’t even know we have.

I can’t tell you how many days I woke up hoping that there was just a button somewhere that I could press to just skip this year altogether.

There were just so many things going wrong and it just kept coming at me without even giving me chance to breathe.

If you are in the same boat as I am, please know that regardless of how difficult things are for you right now, this is not permanent.

Yes, right now you may think that things will not get better but that is definitely not the case. Things will get better for you. You can get through this.

And hey, despite all the struggles that we have faced this year, we’re still here. We’re still holding on and still fighting — this is definitely something that you should be proud of.

But before this year ends, let’s take a moment to reflect on our year, all the lessons that we’ve learned, all our new realizations, things that we will never take for granted again, and of course, our accomplishments (big and small)

I find that one of the best ways to help us heal and reflect is to journal.

Journaling is not only very therapeutic but it also helps us connect with ourselves and our emotions on a deeper level — definitely give it a try!
