It’s so easy to say that you want to save more money but if you are living paycheck to paycheck doing it can be very challenging.

It’s just so much harder to actually implement it. But the great thing is, no matter how hard it is to do, doing it is still possible.

We can still make it happen regardless of how much money we’re making every month.

We just have to be willing to make a few changes in our lifestyle.

That’s why today, I have decided to gather 10 frugal tips to help you save more money.

Remember that being frugal doesn’t mean that we have to sacrifice too much or live for less – we just have to be smart about how we choose to spend our money.

Whatever financial goals you may have, these frugal hacks will certainly help you accomplish them. So, check them out!

Pay with Cash

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, paying with cash when you shop prevents you from going over budget. This tip has helped me so much! While using credit cards are very convenient, it’s also very easy to overspend when you’re using them.

Spending money that you have reminds you of how much money you’re really spending – helping you make better choices!

Cut your cable cord

Finding options on how you can reduce your monthly expenses will definitely help you save money. So, try asking yourself, do you really need to pay for cable every month?

There are plenty of cheaper options that are available instead of paying for your expensive cable bundle.

For me, Netflix is the best way to go. Doing this saved me a couple of dollars every month.

Go for the brown bag

Spending a few dollars on your lunch may not seem like a big expense.

But think about it, if you are doing this every day 5 times a week, imagine how much money you are spending when you can just easily make that at home for far less money.

Plus, cooking your own meals is not only cheaper, but it also helps you make healthier choices.

Try this today and you’ll be surprised on how much money you can save from doing it.

Cook in bulk

Triple the serving of your favorite recipe and just store it in the freezer.

Instead of just shopping for what you’re craving, create your meal plan around those items that are on sale.

Then you can use those ingredients in cooking a bulk dish later.

I was so surprised by how much time and money this hack has saved me.

After a long and stressful day at work, I usually go for take out’s since I just don’t have the time and energy to prepare something but by doing this, I can just easily pull items out of the freezer.

Skip the gym membership

Exercise is important in staying healthy, but it doesn’t have to cost us a lot of money.

There are plenty of options for us to exercise outside. We can go for a run or jog or we can simply exercise at home.

There a lot of exercises that we can just easily do at home, we just have to be creative. So, skip those gym memberships and exercise for free instead!

Make your own cup of joe

As much as we love getting our morning coffee at Starbucks, doing this every day can cause us a hefty amount of money. So, why not try to make your own coffee instead – doing this will help you save an average of 3$ to 5$ a day.

Which adds up to a pretty good amount of savings in a month.

Plan your meals

Plan your meals for the entire week. This will keep you from spending extra money at the grocery store since you won’t be buying food that’ll eventually go to waste.

You can also plan your meals on items that are on sale at your local grocery store. This hack will certainly help you save money!

Learn to DIY

Instead of buying your cleaning supplies and home air fresheners, try creating your own instead.

Doing this will not only help you save money but it will also save you from all those chemicals found in the products your purchasing.

Shop with intention

Don’t go to a store to look around and shop – doing this will end up costing you more.

So, before you shop, make sure to create a list of everything that you need and STICK TO IT.

This will help keep you from impulse buying.

Go for free entertainment

Having fun doesn’t need to be expensive. Instead of planning an expensive night out with your friends, try to find a different alternative – an alternative that’ll cost you less money.

Why not invite your friends over for a potluck or for a cheap movie night instead.

Saving money is possible. We just have to be willing to do necessary lifestyle changes to help us achieve it.

Remember, the key here is not mastering all of them at once, it’s taking one or two hacks and implement them every week. So, try these hacks today and let me know how it goes!
